Straightforward Licensing

There are NO annual subscription fees.
With a single-user (1) license, a user may install and use FreeForm Notebook on up to two (2) machines as long as the Software is not used concurrently on both machines. For example, with a single-user license, you may install FreeForm Notebook on your Desktop and your Laptop as long as you are not using FreeForm Notebook on both machines at the same time.
All maintenance releases are FREE for the major version you purchase. For example, the current version of FreeForm Notebook is v2.x. If you buy FreeForm Notebook v2.x license, you may download and install any and all maintenance releases for v2.x.
Future major versions (v3.x+) will be made available to licensed v2.x users at a considerable discount.

Payment Methods: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, eCheck (direct debit from bank account) or Check by Postal Mail. We do not retain any of your credit card or bank information after the transaction. The license for FreeForm Notebook can be purchased here.
Currency: All prices are in US Dollars.
Processing Time: Registration (License) Code is sent immediately after purchase. The Registration Code allows you to convert your trial version into a licensed version without re-installation. All your data will remain intact.
Shipping Time: Installation CD is shipped via USPS Priority Mail. The normal delivery time is 3-5 days in the continental USA.
Software Documentation: All documentation is installed with the software. No printed manuals are shipped with the installation CD. FreeForm Notebook documentation can be printed by the user, if desired.

Installation

What is the latest version. How do I upgrade?

For latest version of FreeForm Notebook see Revision History. You may simply download and install the latest version to upgrade. All your information will remain intact.

Which operating systems are supported?

Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows 2000 SP3.

On Windows 2000, SP3 or higher and MS Internet Explorer 6.0+ must be pre-installed.

FreeForm Notebook uses Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 or later. .NET 3.0 is pre-installed on Windows Vista. On other operating systems you will be prompted to install .NET 3.0, if it is not already present.

How do I purchase a license for FreeForm Notebook?

I have purchased FreeForm Notebook license and received the Registration Code. How do I enter the Registration Code?

Start FreeForm Notebook. Choose Help | Enter Registration Code menu. Enter the Registered User Name and Registration Code exactly as provided to you. This will convert your trial version into licensed version without re-installation. All your information remains intact.

How do I backup my FreeForm Notebook data?

FreeForm Notebook stores all data for a notebook in a single file. It is imperative that you frequently backup this file to an external media, such as an external hard drive, USB drive or CD, just in case your computer becomes non-functional. The full path of the FreeForm Notebook Data file you need to backup is displayed in the FreeForm Notebook About Dialog Box (Choose Help | About FreeForm Notebook menu).

How do I move my FreeForm Notebook data?

FreeForm Notebook stores all of your data in a single file. Simply move this file to your destination computer. You can view the full path of your data file by choosing Help | About FreeForm Notebook menu.

Can FreeForm Notebook data be edited by multiple-users simultaneously?

FreeForm Notebook data cannot be edited by multiple users simultaneously.
